On April 1st, both Julia and Caroline had friends over to play after school. Brian was at home with the girls.
All of a sudden Caroline came running inside telling Brian that Julia fell off the
play set. We found out later that she was leaning over the window with a rock in her hand and she fell.
Once I got home I called some of our friends that are physicians. After he looked at her wrist he thought it was broken and we needed to go to Children's. Off Julia and I went.
It is amazing the things that you see in the emergency room on a Thursday night! Julia rated her pain at 2 on a scale of 1 to 5 scale with 5 being the highest. This and all her ear infections lead us to believe that she has a high
tolerance for pain....which goes against her over reactions to small scrapes!
Two hours later we found out it was a broken wrist and she had a splint that you see in the pictures. Luckily, it didn't need to be set because it wasn't out of
alignment.
She has since gotten a new hot pink long arm cast that covers her elbow and is more confining. She will get that off in 4 weeks and then have a short arm cast for another 2 weeks.
More cast pictures to come!!
